Mary DeFrancisco, MD - Comprehensive Ophthalmology/ Aesthetic Care

Mary DeFrancisco, M.D. is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and a member of the American Medical Women’s Association. She concentrates her practice in diseases of the Anterior Segment and Glaucoma.

Dr. DeFrancisco attended Temple University where she graduated first in her class and earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree. She received a Doctor of Medicine degree at Hahnemann University of Medicine and completed her medical internship at the Washington Hospital Center and ophthalmology residency at Georgetown University.

Dr. DeFrancisco has served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the Hahnemann University School of Medicine and later at the Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine. In addition to instructing residents and medical students, she has served as an Associate Professor at the Gwynedd Mercy College in Gwynedd, PA.

Dr. DeFrancisco has received special training in the administration of Botox which works below the surface of the skin to relax the muscles that cause frown lines to form, and  Juvederm, which is a dermal filler that is utilized to smooth out facial wrinkles and folds.  Dr. DeFrancisco provides facial cosmetic services at our office located at 9126 Blue Grass Road in addition to her general ophthalmology patients whom she sees at our Grant Avenue and Cottman Avenue offices.

Dr. DeFrancisco is on staff at Frankford Hospital.
